Danica Peterson
Foothill High School
Danica was involved in CSF and National Honor Society. In her junior year, she took the dual enrollment course called “Introduction to Business” offered here at Foothill. This solidified her passion to pursue her own business; a facility dedicated to equine training. Danica’s community service hours include the Irvine Animal Shelter, Country Trails & Riding School, Way Out West Equine Rescue, and as an active member for 12 years of the Girl Scouts of the USA where she earned both the Bronze & Silver Awards. Her volunteer hours accumulated over the past is 5 years is well over 2,000 hours - all the while she was in school. Danica’s GPA is weighted 4.76. This fall, Danica will attend UCLA to study Business & Economics.

Emma Connally
Foothill High School
This fall, Emma will be attending UCI. Her community service hours are from within school, her church, private tutoring, with her martial arts, and she is the Founder and President of the “My Hearts Beats for Noah Club”. She has volunteered and given of herself with over 2,500 service hours while maintaining a 4.55 GPA and working 3 different jobs. Emma was also a scholar athlete on the Track Team. Throughout the 4 years here at Foothill High School, Emma has received numerous awards including the Ca Seal of Biliteracy, Principal Honor Roll, and AP Scholar with Distinction. Emma also has a 2nd degree Black Belt in Both Taekwondo & Hapkido.
Isabella Lugoj
Foothill High School
Isabella has a GPA of 4.68. She plans to attend UCLA in the fall to study Pre-Med for Oncology. Isabella has over 1,200 volunteer service hours with the Knights For knowledge /tutoring with chemistry, as a Robotics Peer Volunteer, as a Chemistry Camp volunteer, with her church, and as a dancer and instructor. Isabella has received awards as a AP Scholar with Distinction, CA Seal of Biliteracy, Interact Rotary youth Leadership, Principal’s Honor Roll, and was vital role in the VEX CA State Champions. Beyond the classroom, Isabella has been an active and influential member of the school community. She has been a member of a variety of service clubs to support the Foothill Community and those less fortunate.

Leah Scarlett Lenhardt
Tustin High School
This fall, Leah will be heading to USC to study Public Relations and Advertising. In her senior year at Tustin High School, Leah stepped up and took charge. She rallied her classmates, single-handedly organized the production, and ensured that the weekly news program continued without a hitch. Besides this huge commitment to volunteer, Leah also has helped to work with the Tustin Student Film Festival, Dashin for Darin, Park with Paws Animal Shelter, Farmers Markets, Community Events, and Local Nonprofits. Leah was a varsity cheerleader and her GPA was 4.40. USC will not make her succeed - - She will succeed at USC!


Roman Alvarez
Tustin High School
Roman is a part of the National Honor Society, CA Scholarship Federation, and a member of the Varsity Football Team. He maintained a 4.0 GPA all 4 years. Most of Roman’s volunteer service hours are done with his church - Holy Family Parish. There he started as a Altar Server and was promoted to a Master Server. He also volunteers at the Life Center of Santa Ana. Roman’s initiative and selflessness are evident as he takes time outside of school hours to contribute meaningfully to both his church and his community. This fall, Roman will attend Chapman University to study Health Science with an emphasis on Speech Pathology. To attend Chapman University is a dream for both Roman and his mother. In Roman’s words, “A winner is a dreamer who does not give up”.

Zain Karamally
Foothill High School
Zain will be attending UC Berkeley this fall where he plans to double major in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. He has been accepted to participate in the extremely selective Management, Entrepreneurship, and Technology program known as M.E.T. Currently Zain is an active member of the Robotic Team, CA Scholarship Federation, and Knights for Knowledge. Besides these club organizations, Zain’s volunteer service hours include being a Robotic Mentor at Hewes, teaching at the Tustin Summer Academy helping to inspire young minds to pursue STEM, and helping to raise over $20,00 with the nonprofit tennis program called Serving Advantage.
